Carcass data

One of the advantages producers have when participating in the Certified Angus Beef ^® (CAB^® ) Program network is meaningful, easy-to-understand data.

With the right frame of mind, data can be a powerful tool in helping a producer track the progress of his calf crop from year to year, monitor cow families, make herd sire selections and track the profitability of the herd on an individual animal basis.

However, before a producer can jump right into getting carcass data on his calves it is important to understand that there are different types of data, and not all data can tell you the same story. There are also a variety of ways producers can go about putting data to work to revel different details about their herds.
