2006 Prize Package Details
Prize packages will be awarded for the overall Grand Champion entry and the Top 10 value entries in both the steer and heifer divisions. Cash prizes will be distributed to the name provided on the entry form of the entered lot after the rankings are announced. Final rankings and winning NACC entries will be announced in January 2007 at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado. Prize packages and cash awards are subject to change as new sponsors and additional prizes may become available. Any enhancements to the prizes will be communicated to all current participants at the time of the change. Changes will also be announced and updated on the NACC section of www.cabpartners.com or by calling 330/345-2333.
Overall Grand Champion Entry
This prize package will include:
- Cash prize of $5,000
- All-expenses-paid trip to the Certified Angus Beef LLC headquarters in Wooster, Ohio, to attend the Brand Builders or Building Blocks for Success Seminar. This seminar brings together packers, retailers, restaurants and producers in an interactive session to learn more about CAB. Winners will also interact one-on-one with CAB staff to provide recommendations on program direction.
- News feature published in Drovers, Angus Journal, Angus Beef Bulletin, and other national cattle publications.
- Local news releases and media appropriate to each winner.
- NACC will advise winners on subsequent advertising claims and opportunities that may arise from success in the NACC.
Champion Entry for Heifer and Steer Divisions
This prize package will include:
- Cash prize of $3,000
- All-expenses-paid trip to the Certified Angus Beef LLC headquarters in Wooster, Ohio, to attend the Building Blocks for Success Seminar.
- News feature published in Drovers, Angus Journal, Angus Beef Bulletin, and other national cattle publications.
- Local news releases and media appropriate to each winner.
- NACC will advise winners on subsequent advertising claims and opportunities that may arise from success in the NACC.
Reserve Champion Entry for Heifer and Steer Divisions
This prize package will include:
- Cash prize of $2,000

Third through Tenth Entry for Heifer and Steer Divisions
These prize packages will include:
- Third Place cash prize of $1,500
- Fourth Place cash prize of $1,000
- Fifth Place cash prize of $700
- Sixth Place cash prize of $600
- Seventh Place cash prize of $500
- Eighth Place cash prize of $400
- Ninth Place cash Prize of $300
- Tenth Place cash prize of $200

Bonus Awards and Sponsors
Allflex will provide up to 50 program tags from the American Angus Association to the top 20 contestants in the 2005 NACC, as well as up to 50 program tags to the first 20 contestants to enter the 2006 NACC. Contestants who have cattle that qualify for the AngusSourceSM PVP program will receive AngusSourceSM RFID Matched pair sets, all others will receive BIR RFID Matched pair sets.

The American Angus Association is offering an additional $2,000 in prize money to the three highest placing NACC entries that are AngusSource identified. The top placing AngusSource entry will be awarded $1,000 with second and third entries awarded $500 each.
Merial SureHealth TM:
Merial is offering an additional $5,000 in prize money to the overall Grand Champion and $3,000 to each Division Champion if they are "Merial SureHealth TM Certified".
Drovers Magazine
Drovers Magazine aims to serve the beef industry as a source for timely, profitable business solutions to quality-minded beef producers. They are sponsoring news features on the NACC winners in its magazine and are providing advertising sponsorship during the contest year.

Awards for all participants
ORIgen, Inc.:
ORIgen, will award a semen credit of $1,000 to the Grand Champion, $500 to each Division Champion, and $250 to each Division Runner Up for use on ORIgen Seedstock Partner Genetics.
Producers can receive an additional semen credit of $1,500 for the Grand Champion and $500 for each Division Champion and Runner Up if the entry is sired by a minimum of one bull or one straw of semen from ORIgen Seedstock Partner Genetics.State Angus Association Rewards:
Chartered State Angus Associations are encouraged to group smaller producers' cattle together to make a NACC entry in that state association's name. The first two State Angus Associations officially entering at least one entry in that state's name into NACC will each be rewarded with $500 toward Certified Angus Beef ® product for an association function.
Licensed Feedlot Rewards:
Feedlot enrollment rewards to encourage participation:
- Feedlots with 5 or more NACC entries qualify for NACC hats for feedlot employees.
- Feedlots with 10 or more NACC entries further qualify for a Certified Angus Beef ® valued-added products luncheon for its feedlot employees.
